Terms of Use
Terms of use.
The rules for using cyber.mag212.com, our content and our free tools. Last updated October 28, 2026.
1. Acceptance
By using cyber.mag212.com (the “site”), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. Educational purpose and authorised use
Our articles, cheat sheets and tools are provided for education and for defending systems you are responsible for. You agree to:
- use tools, commands and techniques (including the Nmap command builder and configuration examples) only on systems and networks you own or are explicitly authorised in writing to test;
- comply with all applicable laws, including computer-misuse and anti-hacking laws, and with the terms of your internet, hosting and cloud providers;
- test configuration changes in a lab or maintenance window and follow your organisation’s change-control process before applying them to production;
- not use the site to attack, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with the site or anyone else.
3. Our content
Unless stated otherwise, the text, diagrams, illustrations, magazine editions, cheat sheets and tools on this site are © MAG212 CYBER. You may read, print and share links to them, and use them for personal or internal training. You may not republish, sell or present them as your own without written permission. Third-party trademarks (for example Cisco, Microsoft or Nmap) belong to their owners and are used only to identify products; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. News headlines link to their original publishers, who own their reporting.
4. No professional advice and no warranty
Content and tool results are general information and automated guidance, not a security audit, penetration test, or legal or professional advice for your specific situation. Technology, threats and vendor software change quickly. The site and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAG212 CYBER is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or business, arising from your use of the site, its content or its tools, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Consulting services
Consultation, assessments and seminars are provided under a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms for that engagement.
7. Links
We link to third-party sites for reference. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
